The unmap function allows you to replace the hardware component while retaining the gateway's settings and the granted access rights. After the unmap, the gateway returns to the Planned status and is ready for commissioning to a new component.

When you unmap a wireless gateway, you delete the link between the gateway in resivo and the actual hardware component. The hardware component gets a factory reset automatically.

Important: To unmap a wireless gateway, you must first unmap any doors that are connected to the gateway.
